These Terms & Conditions govern your use of bookkad.com. By accessing or using BookKad, you agree to use the site in accordance with these terms and applicable law. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the site.

Editorial purpose

BookKad publishes original book notes, summaries, commentary, reading guides, educational material and editorial content intended to help readers discover and understand books and ideas. BookKad is independent unless a relationship is expressly disclosed.

Not a substitute for the original work

BookKad’s notes and summaries are independent editorial works. They are not authorized replacements for the books discussed and are not intended to reproduce the expressive content of an original book. Readers who want the complete work, its full context and the author’s original expression should obtain the original publication from a lawful source.

Intellectual property

Unless otherwise stated, BookKad’s original text, site design, branding, graphics and other original site material are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Book titles, cover images, quotations, author names, publisher marks and other third-party material remain the property of their respective rights holders and may be used for identification, commentary, criticism, review or other lawful editorial purposes.

You may link to BookKad and share brief excerpts with clear attribution where lawful. You may not systematically copy, republish, scrape, sell, mirror or commercially exploit substantial BookKad content without permission.

Acceptable use

You must not misuse the site, attempt unauthorized access, interfere with site operation, distribute malicious code, impersonate others, submit unlawful material, or use automated methods in a manner that unreasonably burdens the service or violates applicable rights.

Member accounts

If you create a BookKad account, you are responsible for maintaining reasonable control of your login credentials and for activity carried out through your account. Member features may change as BookKad evolves. We may restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary to address abuse, security risks, unlawful activity, repeated policy violations or material disruption of the service.

User submissions and community features

If you submit a message, book request, forum contribution or other material, you are responsible for ensuring that you have the right to submit it and that it does not violate applicable law or third-party rights. We may moderate, refuse or remove submissions where reasonably necessary to operate or protect the site and its community.

External links

BookKad may link to publishers, booksellers, authors, reference sources and other third-party websites for reader convenience or editorial context. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their availability, content, security, products, services or policies.

Accuracy and availability

We work to make BookKad useful and accurate, but editorial content may contain errors, become outdated, or reflect interpretation.
